A new online presence for The Old Mill Centre

The Old Mill is a 400 year old stone corn mill that has been converted into a retreat, residential and holiday centre. It aims to attract a wide range of groups including private, corporate, charity, voluntary, educational and pastoral groups.

The brief

To design and build an experiential and informative website, with a content management system, that will promote the centre and its facilities to potential customers.

The situation

The Old Mill Centre approached Vibe during the early stages of developing its business. With no website in existence and only a few pieces of printed brand collateral as indications of its brand styling, it was essential for Vibe to work with The Old Mill Centre’s team to build an online presence that would deliver commercial growth.

The solution

Before commencing any design work, Vibe worked with The Old Mill Centre to understand and define the site’s structure, features and required functionality to ensure it housed all the required content whilst remaining user friendly.

With limited brand collateral in existence, developing a visual style for the site was focused more on achieving a look and feel that would complement the character of the building and its location, the purpose of its being, and also the ethos of The Old Mill Centre founders.
