Building a content-managed website that’s packed with information, but easy to use
Cyprotex is a specialist technology and information company, working in the fields of pharmacology and biotechnology. The business was established in 1999 and now works with more than three hundred partners, providing support for a wide range of experimental and computational services.
The brief
Re-design and build the Cyprotex corporate website and make it available on internal servers for the technical team to manage in-house.
The situation
The website no longer reflected the Cyprotex brand. After years of unwieldy additions, it had become clumsy and difficult to navigate.
The solution
We began by re-addressing the vast amount of service extensions Cyprotex now offers and the site’s requirement to work well for different audiences, from clients to shareholders. We designed a site map and journey which provided the right information in the shortest possible time, and still reflected the brand.
After the planning stage, we created on-brand page style sheets, navigation, icons, buttons and features that were simple for the in-house digital team to recreate when the team needed new pages. Once Cyprotex was happy with our creative, we built the content-rich site, making sure the brand shone through in every element of the design, and got it up and running on their internal servers.
Cyprotex is extremely happy with the site, and now receives many more requests from clients. As an extra benefit, the site is becoming known as a great reference tool for graduates, which is helping position the Cyprotex brand as a true market leader.
