Creating a clean, fresh identity that complements its parent brand

Platform is a sub-brand of Wulvern Housing, the largest Housing Association in South Cheshire providing homes and services for over 11,000 customers across Crewe, Nantwich and a number of Cheshire villages. The organisation provides a choice of high quality, affordable homes including properties for rent, shared ownership, sheltered accommodation and extra care, and homes for people with disabilities.

The brief

Create a brand identity and applications to position Platform as a leading competitor in the North West housing market for selling, leasing, managing and consultancy.

The situation

Wulvern has a great brand, products and services but no brand for Platform which represents and positions it effectively. It needed a separate branded offer to attract a market which will view it in a new light.

The solution

We began by investigating the market, the offer and the competition before we could begin development of the brand identity, to make sure our final brand would work strategically wherever it was needed. We developed the identity to be clean, strong and bold and helped distinguish services and products available to the different audiences - looking to buy or sell, have their property managed, or access consultation services - with a consistent variety of colours.

The whole identity was to look clean, fresh and modern to reflect the service offerings and the properties available and was achieved with white space, great photography, a strict palette of contemporary colours and simple typography.

Wulvern is exceptionally happy with the results and Platform is making great steps in the market.
